Good Morning Ladies!
What a gorgeous day it is....humidity is low, and the temperature has dropped a bit, and the sun is shining. It's amazing how the weather can affect your mood (or is it effect? - I still get that confused)
As I mentioned the other day when we were talking about regain, although I have not regained, I have not even gotten near my goal because I have been struggling for a while with the carb monster. I also mentioned how I was going through bags of mail, getting rid of junk mail and responding to requests I've received in the mail for certain paperwork. I realize my "disorganization" is very detrimental in many ways, and I have to work on it..
Action Plan: Pre-Plan and Make Lists. If you're not familiar with Eggface's site, it has a lot of information, tips, recipes that are very helpful. One thing she talks about is bento box meals. I'm going to plan out some boxes and do some shopping so I can do better with portion control. Taylor loves "Lunchables" and I bought a few bento boxes - so it's time for Grammy to start using them. I made one up last night to bring to the hospital with me today: Five sections: Egg Salad (one egg), cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, cheese cubes (one oz.), almonds. It's just a little bit of each item, but a nice variety and very tasty. Got to get back to basics and make this work, because my "honeymoon period" could end at any time, and I want to reach goal before it does. I'm also going to make the Salsa Chicken so I'll have something prepared for a few nights. I've got peppers, onions, mushroomss and zuccinni in the fridge that I should cook up and have ready. I'm also going to reintroduce myself to the recumbent bike that's in the living room--I was very faithful using it in the past, and I always feel better when I use it - not as fatigued.
I didn't get a chance to read all of yesterday's posts - will get to them later so I can check out responses to my Facebook question.
I've got to make some phone calls now - to follow up on mail responses.

Good morning Mary and OFF-
Mary that's a great idea with the bento boxes. When I was losing rapidly it was I paid attention to portion control by measuring things and did a lot of pre-planning. I need to get back to the basics.
Well I went to painting class last night ladies. I had fun and got out of my brain for a while. My picture is not to my satisfaction but that's because I'm a bird watcher and I'm not satisfied with my chickadee. I forgot to bring my wine which might have helped a little bit. I did force myself to listen to the instructor and not go off ahead of her which helped. Well I was going to paste it in but no such luck.
I got the call yesterday that my friend that I told you about the other day passed away in her sleep the night after I talked to her on the phone. I'm sad but at the same time thankful that her illness was short and mercifully short.
So today after I pick up the house I'll head to Bangor to pick up the car with all it's repairs. I'm going to head over to Burlington, Vermont and visit with my cousin. I think we'll be going to the Champlain Valley Fair. Otherwise it will be a brief visit. I'm just not in the mood at the moment.
So with that I will close. Positive thoughts going out to all of you.

Hi everyone,
Im still in the hospital. This endoscopy really kicked my butt.
The pain thru the night was intense. If I went home I would of just bounced back thru the Er.
They r keeping me another day.
It is very dark here. Been raining all day so far.

Sorry about the problems you are having with your bypass. I am posting late here, but if you know me on Facebook, I feel a bit out of it after falling flat on my face at Publix. Hope you are out of the hospital soon. If only our bypasses offered as much restriction long after the honeymoon period as in the beginning, and didn't cause problems down the line, it would be nice.
